In radio statements reported by the Israeli newspaper “Jerusalem Post”, Ofer called for further intensification of military operations in the Strip, and increasing evacuation orders for Gaza residents.
His comments came despite the killing of more than 41,000 Palestinians in Gaza since the war began in October 2023, and despite dozens of evacuation orders issued by Israel to residents of the devastated strip.
“The military pressure that Israel has been applying since January has not been enough. The state itself admitted this when it submitted a statement to the Supreme Court,” in which it admitted that it does not control Gaza Strip.
“We need to focus on the biggest evidence of all, which is that there is nothing left to be done in the Gaza Strip,” he added.
Ofer also warned that Hamas Movement “It is recovering in the northern Gaza Strip,” calling for “a military campaign in which the population is directed to the south.”
He also warned against the proposed hostage deal, saying it would “allow a million Gazans to enter Gaza City.”
“It is time for the IDF to show determination and seriousness in the evacuation notices. These people will eventually leave, like the other 700,000, most likely,” he added.
