The Iraqi government spokesman, Bassem Al-Awadi, announced on Monday that his country had submitted an official note of protest to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and to the UN Security Council, which included condemnation of “the blatant violation committed by Israel by violating Iraq’s airspace and sovereignty.”
