Iran reveals the number of missiles it fired at Israel

Previous estimates indicated that Iran About 180 ballistic missiles were fired at Israel.

Iran said early on Wednesday morning that its missile attack on Israel “has ended unless further provocations occur,” while Israel and the United States pledged to respond to the attack as fears mount of a broader war erupting.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi wrote on the “X” platform: “Our operation has ended unless the Israeli regime decides to call for a further response. In this scenario, our response will be harsher and stronger.”

Washington said it would work with its ally Israel to ensure that Iran would face “severe consequences” because of the attack.

The UN Security Council is scheduled to hold a meeting on the Middle East on Wednesday, and the European Union has called for an immediate ceasefire.

Meanwhile, early Wednesday morning, Israel renewed its bombing of the southern suburb of Beirut, a stronghold Hezbollah Lebanese, with at least three strikes on what it said were targets belonging to the group.

Israel issued new evacuation orders for the area, which became largely empty after days of heavy strikes, and plumes of smoke were seen rising from parts of the suburb.
