The General Administration of Civil Defense in Dubai concluded its participation in the activities of the Emirates Careers Fair 2024, “Roya”, the platform specialized in employing and empowering Emiratis, which was held during the period from the 24th to the 26th of this month at the Dubai World Trade Center, where the administration’s platform witnessed a wide turnout from job seekers. While the administration revealed the appointment of 107 Emirati cadres since the beginning of this year, including 78 military personnel and 29 civilians.

Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Omar Abdul Qadir Al Hajri, Director of the Human Resources Department, said: “The General Administration of Civil Defense in Dubai was keen to be present at this exhibition, through the “Roya” platform specialized in employing and empowering citizens, in order to open new horizons for those seeking promising job opportunities. He stressed Their commitment to providing an attractive and stimulating work environment that enables Emirati youth to contribute effectively to achieving the UAE’s vision and drive growth and innovation in the government sector.”

He added: “We have witnessed a large demand from job seekers, which reflects the growing awareness and understanding among the people of the country of the importance of the government sector as a distinct career option. We, in turn, will continue to support them and provide them with all the opportunities and capabilities that enhance their career path and contribute to achieving their ambitions and future aspirations.” “.

Al-Hajri stressed the keenness of the General Administration of Civil Defense to invest in human capital by attracting and employing distinguished cadres, pointing out that their presence in the exhibition comes as a translation of the directives of the wise leadership to support the Emiratisation strategy, invest in the human element and enhance its capabilities, in addition to building a database to benefit from to fill vacant positions when Need.

Al-Hajri pointed out that the administration sought, through its participation, to support the strategy and plans of Emiratisation in the emirate by attracting and employing competencies in various sectors, including fire engineers, excellence and competitiveness executive, senior risk executive, senior quality specialist, awareness lecturer, services specialist, and mental health specialist, noting. The administration organizes training packages for new employees to develop their skills and give them experience, especially in the areas of awareness of security and safety procedures.

It included the vacancies that were offered, which would provide an opportunity for all applicants, meet the requirements of all educational levels, create a comprehensive database of applicants, and provide professional consultations.

Maryam Obaid, a recruitment and employment specialist at the General Administration of Civil Defense, said that their presence in the exhibition comes in line with the vision of the Dubai government, and the goals of its economic and social agenda aimed at raising Emiratisation rates, as investment in human capital is one of the most important pillars that we are keen on and work on within our internal plans. Pointing out that specialized exhibitions contribute to matching national cadres with opportunities that suit their practical and scientific capabilities, which results in enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of the national economy.

She stated that the exhibition in its session this year received a large turnout from both genders, as these exhibitions are considered an important opportunity to learn directly about work requirements, conditions and available opportunities, noting that they are working to fill vacancies immediately, as during the current year 107 civilian and military employees were appointed in the sectors. She stated that new employees undergo “specialized” qualification courses before joining work, including a course on first aid, firefighting and rescue, implemented by a group of specialists in the specializations offered, with a total of 67 courses implemented this year at the Civil Defense Academy and covering 11 different departments for the purpose of training and qualifying new employees.
