Hezbollah announces the destruction of an Israeli tank near the border

The Iranian-backed party said in a statement that its fighters targeted “Merkava tank In the Labouneh Heights, with a guided missile, which led to its burning and its crew being killed and wounded,” while the Israeli army did not issue any comment immediately.

This comes in the wake of an Israeli air strike that targeted a municipal headquarters Nabatiehcausing the death of Mayor Ahmed Kahil and 15 others, in the largest attack on a Lebanese government building since the start of the Israeli air campaign.

Lebanese officials condemned the attack, which injured more than 50 people in Nabatieh, saying it was evidence that Israel’s campaign against the Hezbollah group was now shifting to target the Lebanese state.

Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati denounced the Israeli attack on the capital of Nabatieh Governorate, saying that it “intentionally targeted a municipal council meeting to discuss the city’s services and relief situation.”

For his part, he stated Israeli army It struck dozens of Hezbollah targets in the Nabatieh area, and the naval forces also struck dozens of targets in southern Lebanon.

He added that he “dismantled” a network of tunnels used by Hezbollah’s Radwan forces in a town near the border with Israel, and published a video clip showing multiple explosions shaking a group of buildings.
