Trump won North Carolina, the first of seven swing states, dealing a blow to his Democratic rival, Kamala Harris.
Later, the Republican candidate won the state of Georgia, one of the states witnessing intense competition in the race for the White House, according to NBC and CNN.
Biden won the state of Georgia, which has a large black population, in the 2020 presidential elections. Thus, Trump won the support of 16 large voters in the electoral college.
Both candidates moved through 7 major swing states: Arizona, Georgia, MichiganNevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, and they worked to attract voters who were unsure of their electoral intentions and communicated with them about the issues that were on their minds and considered urgent to them.
In the first announced results, Trump has so far won these states: Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, andNorth Carolina South Carolina, Arkansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Louisiana, Ohio, Texas, Missouri, Montana, Utah, Kansas, Iowa and Idaho.
On the other hand, Harris won the states of California, Washington, and…Vermont Maryland, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Delaware, Illinois, New York, Colorado, Delaware, New Mexico, Oregon and Virginia.
This means that Trump currently has 230 electoral votes, compared to 205 for Harris.
