There is plenty to enjoy this festive season. Every corner of the island is in the Christmas spirit and joyous events fill up each week. Approaching soon is the Grand Christmas Concert at Larnaca Municipal Theatre on December 12.
With distinguished guests and musicians, the event promises to be a real celebration of music and culture that unites the hearts of the Cypriot and Ukrainian communities as it is organised by the Obiimy Cyprus and Sushko Foundation in partnership with the Embassy of Ukraine.
Festive and heart-warming melodies by the Cyprus Orchestra, as well as touching performances by a specially created children’s choir will fill the Larnaca theatre for one night only. Titled Grand Christmas Concert, the evening will be a jubilant occasion to celebrate the spirit of the season through the magic of music.
“Among the guests of honour,” say organisers, “we will be pleased to welcome the Deputy Mayor of Larnaca, the Ambassador of Ukraine and representatives of other embassies, which emphasises the tradition of sincere hospitality that is an integral part of both Cypriot and Ukrainian culture. We are also expecting the Mayor of Larnaca.”
What’s more, the concert is completely free to attend and welcomes all communities in Cyprus as it will be conducted in English with touches in Greek. This way, the event hopes to create a peaceful and festive occasion for all to enjoy.
