Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of 24 recruits from two courses, the first on “Field Traffic Pursuit Skills” and the second on motorcycle driving skills, which were held by the Traffic Training Branch at the Criminal Justice Institute in Al Ain, affiliated with the Police Institutes Department at the Saif Bin Zayed Academy for Police and Security Sciences.
Major General Thani Butti Al Shamsi, Director of the Saif Bin Zayed Academy for Police and Security Sciences, stressed the keenness of the Abu Dhabi Police to qualify and develop its members within the annual training plans with the latest knowledge and applications, with the aim of developing their skills and capabilities and providing them with specialized expertise and knowledge, pointing out the importance of supporting the theoretical aspect with training to carry out the tasks assigned to them, preserve national gains and enhance the path of security and public safety.
The graduation was attended by Brigadier Hussein Ali Al Junaibi, Director of the Police Rehabilitation Department, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Yousef Al Hammadi, Director of the Criminal Justice Institute, Captain Marwan Ahmed Al Hammadi, Security Patrols Response Officer, and a number of officers and individuals.
Mohammed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Traffic Training Branch in Al Ain, explained that the recruits were qualified to raise field efficiency within the tasks of work in traffic and security patrols.
The patrol members received training in using tactical arts and skills to respond to security incidents of all kinds, to raise their readiness to deal with all forms of crime and traffic violations.
The graduates implemented a unique realistic scenario on how to confront a violator who drives his car recklessly and refuses to follow instructions and safety rules, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, Al Ain Police Directorate, Central Operations Department, Special Tasks Department, Weapons and Explosives Department, Command and Control Center (Al Ain), Abu Dhabi Police Aviation Department, and the K9 Security Inspection Department, within the framework of finding solutions to the various challenges that they may face in their police career.
