Fresh Frenchy’s announces upcoming move to property in Exeter

When Francesco and Andrea Amato transformed their former pizza shop into Fresh Frenchy’s, they aimed to create a restaurant they could see themselves frequenting.

“Our hope was that we weren’t the only ones looking for fresh, organic, healthy foods that fit dietary needs and restrictions,” Andrea Amato said. “There was clearly a void or at least very limited options in our area for things like this.”

Now, less than one year after debuting Fresh Frenchy’s, the concept’s popularity is clear.

Since opening in January, Frenchy’s fresh take on nutritious, real ingredients has built a loyal customer base, with demand so strong that the shop has outgrown its current location at 2550 Perkiomen Ave. in Mount Penn.

In January 2025, the breakfast and lunch spot will reopen just over a mile down the road at a new location in Exeter Township: 3650 Perkiomen Ave., formerly the Roselawn Bistro.

The restaurant will continue to operate in its current location until the end of December, the Amatos noted in a Facebook post.

The Amatos said their business model will change slightly at the new location.

“It will shift from a café style to more of a bistro style with waitstaff,” the Amatos said on Facebook. “We will serve lunch and dinner with an all-day brunch happening on Sundays.”

They said the shift allows Fresh Frenchy’s to grow in ways that weren’t possible before.

“Think family fun days on the front lawn, corn hole tournaments, trivia nights, live acoustic music, etc.,” the Amatos said. “We have always been a community-oriented business and we plan to continue that on a larger scale in our new home.”

The restaurant will also be introducing new food and drink items, including fresh cut fries cooked in beef tallow, gluten free and vegan flatbreads, charcuterie boards, smoked meats, upscale cocktails, Pagoda Hill Vineyards wine, and beer and cider from PA breweries.

The Amatos also noted that they will be taking their acai bowls on the road with a food trailer that will be available in a few months for event bookings.

Despite the changes, the Amatos said the values that resonated with Frenchy’s customers remain the same.

“We will only serve real food, we will never use seed oils, we will continue to offer many gluten-free options and all homemade desserts in the restaurant will always be gluten free,” the Amatos said.

The Amatos also noted that they will be selling their Mount Penn property, which is fully equipped with a walk-in refrigerator, freezers, double decker pizza ovens, industrial-sized dough mixer, fryer, espresso machine and more.

The Amatos said they had a goal of upsizing ever since opening Fresh Frenchy’s, but they never imagined it would happen so quickly.

“It’s been an incredible ride so far and we’ve worked very hard to get to this point,” Andrea Amato said.

Andrea Amato thanked new building owner Dr. Gary Wegman, who operates Wegman Dental Group in another part of the structure.

“We are thankful to Dr. Wegman for his commitment to wanting a healthy eatery in his beautiful building,” Andrea Amato said.

The Amatos also thanked their customers for their support.

“You have allowed us to grow beyond our wildest dreams,” the Amatos said. “We can’t wait to serve you in our new space.”
