BOYERTOWN – The Fred Beans Automotive Group will sell cars for a good cause this holiday season.
Starting Black Friday, Nov. 29, through the end of the year, Fred Beans will donate to a food bank with every vehicle sold.
To make an impact in the fight against hunger, the automotive group has set an ambitious goal for its dealerships to sell 4,000 vehicles. Beans anticipates meeting this goal will fund 100,000 meals — double the meals funded last year through a similar year-end campaign.
“This is the time to buy a new car or truck,” Beth Beans Gilbert, vice president of Fred Beans Automotive Group, said in the release. “We not only provide extra savings and incentives on our vehicles, but we do so with the intention to make a difference with each sale.”
The Fred Beans Automotive Group is also collecting nonperishable food items to add to the monetary donations.
The company will make donations to the following organizations: Bread of Heaven Food Pantry Abington, the Bucks County Opportunity Council, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, the Flemington Area Food Pantry, the Salvation Army of Boyertown, the Salvation Army of West Chester, the Washington Community Food Pantry and Willow Grove Baptist Church Food Pantry.
Fred Beans Automotive Group launched its first meals challenge in May 2020, at the height of the pandemic, with a goal of providing 500,000 meals by the end of the year. The company has since held concentrated year-end campaigns and supported employees in taking paid time off to volunteer at the hunger-fighting organizations receiving Fred Beans’ contributions.
