Foxconn establishes the world’s largest manufacturer of super-electronic chips

“And promise”FoxconnOfficially known as Hon Hai Precision Industry, the world’s largest contract manufacturer of electronics and assembles devices for major technology companies, including…Apple“.

As it aspires to expand beyond electronics assembly, the company is now penetrating areas from electric vehicles to semiconductors and servers.

“We are working on building the largest GP200 production facility in the world,” senior executive Benjamin Ting said at the company’s annual Hon Hai Technology Day.

“I don’t think I can say where it is right now, but it’s the largest in the world,” added Ting, Foxconn’s vice president of cloud solutions.

Foxconn CEO Yong Liu said at the opening of the two-day event that Foxconn will be “the first to ship these breakthrough electronic chips,” according to what was reported by Agence France-Presse.

He later revealed to reporters that the new factory will be located in Mexico.

Unlike its competitors Intel, Micron, and Texas Instruments, Nvidia does not manufacture its own chips but relies on contractors.

Foxconn also unveiled prototypes of new electric vehicles at Technology Day, a seven-passenger multi-purpose utility vehicle and a 21-passenger bus.

Foxconn announced last year that it would partner with NVIDIA to establish “artificial intelligence laboratories,” which are data processing centers that will be the engine for producing next-generation equipment.
