The Israeli government has urgently approved a declaration of a state of emergency on the home front throughout the country, which will take effect immediately and will last for a week, according to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority.
The Israeli government’s decision came after an airstrike targeted the southern suburbs of Beirut today, Monday.
The intensity of the Israeli bombing of Lebanon increased, as Israeli aircraft carried out more than 200 raids on southern towns. The bombing also extended to the Bekaa region in addition to the city of Byblos for the first time.
