Her Highness Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Education, Human Development and Society Council, confirmed that the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” to adopt the twenty-eighth of February of each year as “Emirati Education Day.” It is a special message of appreciation to everyone who works in the sector, and to those who shared our beginnings and are still working hard, diligently, and sincerely to provide positive role models that meet our national aspirations and inspire our sons and daughters, students, hope and leaders of the future.

Her Highness said: “The vision of the wise leadership in construction and development is what inspires our strategies to plan for a future in which education is integrated with society, to build a society that is possible for all its members without exception, and a sustainable future for future generations, that reflects our identity, enriches our culture, and enhances our values ​​in the UAE.”

Her Highness added: “Education is the beacon of nations and the path to human progress, the founder of development and the maker of the future. The leadership and people of the UAE have realized the importance of the role that education plays in building a positive present that turns challenges into opportunities and opens the way for students to acquire skills and draw from a source of knowledge.” And they preserve the state’s achievements that everyone witnessed during the journey of construction and change between the past and the present.”
