Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, has opened its new lounge at London Stansted Airport. The airline has invested over £4 million to design the spacious 900 square metre lounge, which can accommodate up to 125 guests in First and Business Class, as well as Platinum and Gold members of Emirates Skywards.

The new lounge is Emirates’ sixth dedicated lounge in the UK, complementing the airline’s world-class facilities at London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Glasgow and Manchester airports. Emirates also has a dedicated lounge at all London airports served by the airline, offering customers a unique experience to relax and enjoy fine dining experiences before their flights.

Emirates is one of the few airlines that has invested in on-ground experiences including its network of 40 dedicated lounges around the world and complimentary chauffeur services for First and Business Class customers.

“Emirates has been serving London Stansted since 2018, and the airport remains a very important gateway for our customers in the southern region of the UK. The new lounge is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing our customers with the best possible travel experience, both on the ground and in the air,” said Mohammed Mattar, Emirates’ Divisional Senior Vice President, Airport Services. “It is a significant milestone for the airline, as we now offer dedicated lounges at six airports in the UK, demonstrating our continued commitment to one of our most important markets. We look forward to enhancing the travel experience for our customers and providing them with high-quality services.”

“The 14 weekly flights between London Stansted and Dubai are popular with passengers, not only to the Middle East, but also to the rest of the world thanks to Emirates’ extensive global network,” said Gareth Powell, General Manager of London Stansted Airport. “The opening of the Emirates Lounge demonstrates our commitment to the airport and to our passengers travelling to and from Dubai. The lounge offers a luxurious and comfortable experience for our First and Business Class customers, and is ideally located, offers excellent views of the airport and allows direct boarding.”

Located in Satellite 1, next to the departure gates, the Emirates Lounge offers a spacious lounge with newly refurbished furniture and dedicated seating areas for pre-flight dining and relaxation. Customers will also enjoy an exceptional selection of food and beverages, complimentary Wi-Fi, refreshing shower facilities and amenities, all just a two-to-three minute walk from the departure gate.

Emirates has partnered with Sussex-based Whole Circles Farms to launch a farm-to-table concept in its lounge, offering customers seasonal meals of fresh organic vegetables and exquisite local dishes. Customers can also enjoy a range of premium beverages.

Emirates has been facilitating tourism and trade in the UK since 1987. The airline currently operates 133 flights a week to the UK, including two daily flights to and from London Stansted on a Boeing 777 aircraft. The airline also serves the UK with flights to London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle and Glasgow, and is set to resume daily services to Edinburgh from 4 November.

The carrier’s extensive network, covering 145 destinations, provides its customers in the United Kingdom with access to a wide range of destinations in Asia, the Indian Ocean, the Middle East, Africa and Australia.
