The Emirates Media Council issued a statement today regarding the bullying incident that a child was subjected to during the filming of a children’s programme, which was broadcast on one of the platforms.
The Council confirmed, in a post on the social media platform “X”, that “it will not allow the display of any content that violates the media content standards stipulated in the Media Regulation Law, or the laws related to child protection in the country.”
The statement read: “The Emirates Media Council followed up on the bullying incident that the child was subjected to while filming a children’s programme broadcast on one of the platforms. The Council took the initiative to communicate with the child’s family to learn the details of the incident, and is conducting an investigation with various concerned parties to determine the circumstances and take the necessary measures. It confirms that it will not allow the display of any content that violates the media content standards stipulated in the Media Regulation Law or the laws related to child protection in the country.”
