The UAE Careers Exhibition 2024 “Roya” kicks off today at the Dubai World Trade Centre from September 24 to 26, under the slogan “You Can”. The exhibition focuses on Emiratisation by bringing together job seekers with the most prominent companies in the field of Emiratisation, to exchange opportunities and explore the latest trends in the country’s labour market.
Dubai Police
Some participating entities revealed that they provided 640 opportunities, 350 of which were in the health sector, 175 in the police, and 115 in customs. The Dubai Police General Command announced the offering of 175 job vacancies for university and high school graduates, with 50 vacancies for university graduates of various specializations, and 125 vacancies for high school graduates.
Major General Ahmed Mohammed Rafi, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Administration Affairs, stressed that participation in the Emirates Careers Fair 2024 comes within the framework of Dubai Police’s keenness to support the country’s strategic directions in empowering Emirati youth in various security jobs, and placing Emiratisation at the top of its agenda by attracting Emirati cadres.
Major General Dr. Saleh Abdullah Murad, Director General of Human Resources, stated that Dubai Police has always been keen to participate in the Emirates Careers Fair, and has worked over the past years to provide vacancies for young citizens in various job tasks that fulfill their future aspirations and harness their potential and capabilities in police work.
Medical sector
The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has revealed more than 350 job opportunities in the medical sector dedicated to employing citizens in (health/medical, technical, and administrative) specialties. Dr. Marwan Al Mulla, CEO of the Health Regulation Sector, indicated that details of the vacancies and other educational and employment opportunities will be available at the Mawaheb Exhibition, which the authority is organizing as part of the Emirates Vision 2024 Careers Exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Center. Dr. Wadiah Mohammed, Director of the Medical Education and Research Department at the authority, explained that 24 health institutions are scheduled to participate in the Mawaheb Exhibition, stressing that this number of participations reflects the level of fruitful cooperation between the authority and the private health sector in Dubai.
Information Technology
Dubai Customs offers 115 job vacancies in various specializations, most notably customs inspection, finance, information technology, customs auditing, and specialized jobs for people of determination.
Mohammed Al Ghafari, Executive Director of Human Resources Sector at Dubai Customs, said: “At Dubai Customs, we work to enhance the Emiratisation strategy, attract and employ young talents and enroll them in customs work, in addition to supporting people of determination by allocating jobs for them that enable them to showcase their skills, capabilities and experiences.” Samira Mohammed Al Awadhi, Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition at Dubai Customs, stressed the importance of the job fair as it is an opportunity for us at Dubai Customs to showcase job opportunities and attract Emirati talents by opening the way for them to start a promising future based on innovation and future-proofing while benefiting from the learning and development opportunities provided by the department within a sustainable work environment.
Emirates Development Bank affirmed its strong commitment to empowering young national talents and developing Emirati competencies to engage in the labor market.
Ahmed Mohammed Al Naqbi, CEO of Emirates Development Bank, expressed his belief in the capabilities of Emirati youth to shape the future of the national economy. He stressed that the bank’s participation in “Vision – Careers UAE 2024” embodies its commitment to empowering the young generation and enhancing their career path.
