The Health Ministry has asked hospitals in the south and east of the country to halt non-emergency operations to make room for treating those wounded in Monday’s intense Israeli airstrikes, as it urged residents to stay away from Hezbollah positions.
In a statement, the ministry asked “all hospitals in the southern governorates, Nabatieh, Baalbek-Hermel to stop all cold operations in order to make room for treating the wounded due to the continuation of the Israeli aggression on Lebanon.”
The Israeli army launched “intensive” attacks on Hezbollah targets on Monday, on South Lebanon.
Israeli army spokesman, Daniel Hagari, called on the residents of the Lebanese villages to leave immediately, for their own safety.
He said Hagari In a press conference following Monday’s strikes: “To the residents of the villages in Lebanon, in the coming period we will attack terrorist targets in Lebanon.”
He warned: “Anyone who is near homes or facilities is hiding… Hezbollah “It has weapons inside it. We call on you to move away from it immediately. Hezbollah is putting you and your families in danger.”
The Israeli army stresses that it will continue to target missile launch pads and Hezbollah infrastructure in various areas in southern Lebanon.
