The third phase of Larnaca’s sewerage system will be ready in 36 months and will connect the communities of Dromolaxia, Meneou, Kiti, Pervolia and Tersefanou to the system at a cost of around €8.5 million, it was announced on Tuesday.
Larnaca’s district organisation said the contract, signed on Monday, provided for the design, building, operation and maintenance of eight central and four local sewage pumping stations.
A further five years is provided for the maintenance of the pumping stations.
The project, implemented by the government’s political cohesion programme Thaleia 2021-2027, is co-funded by the EU.
