T + T – Normal size

Dubai Customs announced the thwarting of 13 attempts to smuggle marijuana into the country by travelers from an Asian country.

Today, she explained, via her official account on “X”, that the inspection officers at Dubai Customs were able to decipher the criminal method and thwart 13 attempts to smuggle marijuana, which came with travelers from the same Asian country at different times.

She stated that the inspection and auditing operations revealed that the narcotic substance was stacked inside compressed plastic bags that were emptied of air, to ensure that the smell does not spread and to increase its cohesion, which helps in smuggling large quantities, then hiding it in an artistic way inside cardboard and plastic boxes of famous brand food items, weighing 54 kilograms.
