Dubai Courts Consider Launching Unified Judicial Enforcement Project

Dubai Courts revealed that it is studying the launch of a unified central judicial enforcement project in the emirate, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Dubai Judicial Council, the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts, and the Rental Disputes Settlement Centre.

The project aims to improve and simplify judicial enforcement procedures, with a focus on enhancing the speed of adjudication of enforcement cases and ensuring the efficient and transparent application of justice, in accordance with the highest international standards.

Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director of Dubai Courts, chaired a high-level meeting today for this purpose as part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of judicial work and accelerate the achievement of justice.

The meeting touched on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, who has stressed on more than one occasion that “swift justice enhances confidence in the judicial system and contributes to achieving security and societal stability.” He added that developing the judicial system is an essential part of Dubai’s vision to provide the best judicial services in the world.

The meeting was attended by Judge Abdul Qader Musa, Head of the Rental Disputes Settlement Centre, His Excellency Judge Omar Juma Al Fujair Al Muhairi, Director of the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts, Professor Dr. Abdullah Saif Al Subousi, Secretary General of the Judicial Council, Judge Omar Atiq Al Marri, Deputy Director of the Dubai Courts, and Judge Khalid Al Mansouri, Head of the Execution Court.

Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi explained that the meeting came within the framework of the ongoing coordination between the judicial authorities to enhance the effectiveness of the judicial system in the emirate. The team was formed from three main judicial authorities: Dubai Courts, Dubai International Financial Centre Courts, and the Rental Disputes Settlement Centre, in response to the outcomes of previous meetings with the aim of unifying procedures and developing judicial policies in Dubai.

He added that the General Secretariat of the Judicial Council of the Emirate of Dubai will supervise the team assigned to prepare a comprehensive study of the unified central judicial implementation project.

He pointed out that the directives of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Judicial Council, always confirm that “a fair, impartial and independent judiciary means a stable society in which the individual is secure in his rights and freedoms.”

Al Suwaidi stressed during the meeting that all concerned judicial authorities are working in full coordination within a unified vision aimed at achieving leadership in providing judicial services.
