PIEDMONT TRIAD, N.C. (WGHP) — High pressure should keep us dry and clear through the weekend.
The low tonight will be near 40 with some possible scattered areas of light frost toward Sunday morning.
Sunday will see a mix of sun and clouds with a high around 65 and a low Sunday night near 45.
Monday will continue warmer than normal with a high between 65 and 70.
A weak cold front is expected to move in Tuesday evening and will likely be pushing some rain out ahead of it for Tuesday afternoon and into Wednesday.
Highs on both Tuesday and Wednesday will be near 68 to 70 degrees. Next, a very strong cold front will come through Wednesday night. This cold front will clear out the rain but is also expected to create some wind gusts possibly as strong as 20-30mph for Thursday and Friday.
Temperatures for Thursday and Friday will be much lower as well, with highs near 50 and lows Thursday night and Friday night near 35, and even colder in outlying areas away from towns and cities.
