(The Hill) — Dick Van Dyke, the 98-year-old legendary actor, says he’s fortunate that he “won’t be around” for President-elect Donald Trump’s four-year term in the White House.
Asked by DailyMail.com this week if Trump is “capable of making America great again,” Van Dyke replied, “Fortunately, I won’t be around to experience the four years.”
The TV sitcom and “Mary Poppins” star had expressed support for Vice President Kamala Harris’ White House bid ahead of the election.
Van Dyke, who turns 99 next month, has been critical of Trump, calling him “disturbed.”
In June, the Emmy Award winner remarked on the state of the world, saying, “I’m very, very worried. No kidding, in every respect.”
