The victim of a fatal motorcycle crash Sunday on Interstate 95 has been identified as Taylor Guyer, 26, Douglasville, according to Delaware State Police.
Troopers gave this account:
At about 8:35 a.m., the motorcyclist, whom police did not initially identify, was southbound near Basin Road behind a group of fellow riders. He accelerated to catch up and passed them at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle’s rear tire locked up, causing it to skid. The motorcycle fell on its right side and slid toward the right shoulder of the roadway.
Guyer, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was closed for about five hours.
