Cyprus business delegation to host forums in Prague, Bratislava

Cyprus business delegation to host forums in Prague, Bratislava

Cyprus will dispatch a business delegation to Slovakia and the Czech Republic to boost ties and foster collaborations across several sectors, according to an announcement released on Wednesday.

These sectors include information, communication, and technology (ICT), financial services, and investment funds.

The delegation will host business forums in Bratislava and Prague to facilitate this effort on November 26 and 28, 2024.

This initiative is being organised by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve), in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry.

Additional partners in this effort include the Cyprus Trade Centre in Vienna, as well as the Cyprus-Czech Republic and Cyprus-Slovakia Business Associations.

These events, Keve said, “aim to offer Cypriot and both Czech and Slovak businesses a platform to discover and explore potential business synergies and opportunities”.

Furthermore, the forums will provide “insights into the Cyprus business environment and the advantages Cyprus offers as an international business centre in the fields of ICT, financial services, investment funds and explore business cooperation opportunities with Cypriot companies”.

The forums will include informative presentations, discussions, as well as pre-arranged business-to-business meetings.

These sessions, the announcement explained, will allow businesses to engage in direct dialogue and explore potential partnerships.

The organisers aim to maximise the value and effectiveness of these meetings, ensuring that participants have meaningful interactions that could lead to future collaborations.

The delegation will depart from Cyprus on November 25, arriving in Bratislava that same day.

The first forum will take place in Bratislava on November 26. The delegation will then travel to Prague, where the second forum will be held on November 28. The group is scheduled to return to Cyprus on 29 November.

A detailed programme for the events, including the forum agendas, will be shared with participants in the coming weeks, the chamber said.

Businesses interested in participating are encouraged to complete the registration form electronically. Full details on how to register and join the delegation can be found on the official event webpage.
