Canucks Brock Boeser Ruled Out Of Game Against Kings After High Hit From Tanner Jeannot

The Vancouver Canucks announced that Brock Boeser would not return to their game against the L.A. Kings. Boeser received a dangerous and dirty hit to the head from Tanner Jeannot, which resulted in the Kings forward receiving a match penalty. Vancouver was given a five-minute power play as a result, with Conor Garland scoring to tie the game at one.

The main focus now is on Boeser’s health moving forward. The 27-year-old has been one of the Canucks best players this season, with 11 points in 12 games. More information on Boeser’s health will be available at a later time.

It would be shocking if Jeannot was not suspended for this hit. According to the NHL rule book, “A match penalty shall be imposed on any player who deliberately attempts to injure or who deliberately injures an opponent in any manner.” More information on a possible suspension for Jeannot will be available tomorrow.
