She continued: “So today we expelled a senior Indian diplomat from Canada,” without naming him.
Hardeep Singh Nigar, who was killed last June, was the head of a Sikh temple, and an advocate of establishing an independent state for Sikhs called “Khalistan.”
Nigar was wanted by the Indian authorities on charges of involvement in terrorist acts, a charge he has always denied.
