The Billion Followers Summit, the first and largest content creation summit in the world, has announced the extension of the deadline for receiving applications for participation in the summit’s “Investing with Content Creators” program, which is the first of its kind, until October 5.
The program aims to provide funding and financial support to start-up companies and individuals who have pioneering ideas in the content industry to present them to a jury that includes an elite group of experts, major investors, and companies that sponsor and invest in the ideas.
Increasing demand
The extension of the participation period comes in light of the increasing demand from emerging companies and individual content creators, and with the aim of providing a greater opportunity for those wishing to share their work and creativity and benefit from the program, whose activities will be launched during the third edition of the Billion Followers Summit, organized by the New Media Academy in Dubai during the period from January 11 to 13, under the slogan “Purposeful Content.”
The 1 Billion Followers Summit called on companies and individuals who meet the participation conditions, which are limited to the age group of 18 years and above, and that the company is legally registered, to seize the opportunity and apply through the summit’s website: www.1billionsummit.com.
Mentoring and training program
A specialized team will be responsible for sorting the applications for participation in the program, as all entries will undergo a careful evaluation process to ensure their alignment with the program’s requirements and objectives, while the judging committee will select emerging companies and individual content creators based on a number of criteria, including the feasibility of the presented idea, the quality of the marketing presentation, market potential, innovation and creativity in the project idea, the ability to expand and grow, the extent of social and economic impact, and the quality of implementation and planning.
Selected participants will join a mentoring and training program organized by the Billion Followers Summit to be ready to present their ideas and projects during the summit, giving them the opportunity to obtain strategic support to help them grow and expand.
The final qualifiers for the program’s competitions will go through three stages that will be held during the Billion Followers Summit. The first stage includes selecting 25 applicants from emerging companies and individuals from content creators with pioneering ideas to present their ideas directly to the judging panel. The second stage will bring together 10 participants, and the final stage will witness two participants competing for first and second place to obtain promising opportunities for investment, partnerships, and cooperation.
It is worth noting that the Billion Followers Summit seeks to address more than one billion people around the world, by hosting a group of the most important and largest influencers and content creators, individuals and institutions, on all social media platforms; to discuss how new media, as a creative sector, contributes to supporting countries’ economies and plans to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development goals.
