“Beit Al Khair” spends 10 million dirhams on “Al-Gharmin” in 3 years

T+ T – Normal size

The Beit Al Khair Association announced that it spent about 10 million dirhams on the “Greaters” project from January 2022 until last August, from which 372 debtors benefited, including 164 citizens, who were released and returned to their families safely, after the association paid for them the bulk of this support. With a value of 7 million and 600 thousand dirhams, while the remaining amount was spent to lift the fines from 208 residents, paying for them what they were unable to pay in order to escape from the rulings to which they had to be subjected, and whose future may be destroyed.

Anyone who is unable to pay a debt that threatens their security and stability benefits from the “Indebtedness” project, provided that the reason for the debt is a permissible commercial activity or a loan to provide basic needs. The association annually allocates 3 million dirhams to support those in debt, and sometimes responds to initiatives in which many bodies and institutions come together to organize campaigns. To release a number of debtors on occasions, such as Ramadan and the two Eids, and “Beit Al Khair” gives priority to the debtor whose imprisonment has separated him from his family and threatened its stability, as well as to those who have reached retirement age and are unable at this age to repay the debt he owed.

This year was marked by an increase in spending on the project, as what was spent until the end of August amounted to about 3 million and 879 thousand dirhams, from which 372 debtors benefited, including 83 citizens, for whom “Beit Al Khair” paid two million and 295 thousand dirhams so that they could return to their families safely and resume their normal lives.
