Beijing criticizes potential US restrictions ‘banning’ Chinese car sales

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said in response to a question on the matter that,China Conflict expansion US “The concept of national security and discriminatory measures taken against Chinese companies and products.”

In mid-September, Washington announced that electric cars imported from China would be subject to a 100 percent tax starting September 27.

Currently, no Chinese cars are sold in the United States.

But some Western manufacturers, such as Volvo, the Swedish group controlled by the Chinese company Geely, Polestar, Buick (General Motors Group) or Lincoln (a subsidiary of Ford), sell cars made in China in the US market.

The American company produces Tesla Electric cars in China for export.

Modern cars are becoming more and more integrated with electronics and most of them are now connected to the internet through the driving system.
