The spokesman added: “Given that these investigations are ongoing to date, the Labor Party has decided to administratively suspend Mr. Amesbury’s membership pending the investigation.”
Amesbury had said in a statement on Saturday, before the two video clips appeared, that he “felt threatened in the street after spending an evening with friends,” and that he called the police himself to report the incident.
