The stabbing occurred in the Chinatown International neighborhood Seattle Friday afternoon, according to the Seattle Police Department on social media.
Four of the injured were transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, while the fifth person received medical care at the scene.
A Harborview spokesman confirmed that the four wounded had arrived HospitalPointing out that all of them are in critical condition.
Police said they arrested one man following the incident.
Five other people were stabbed in separate incidents in the same area earlier Thursday.
