The Axios website reported on Friday, citing two US officials, that the Biden administration is deeply concerned that the Israeli finance minister may cut Palestinian banks off from the Israeli financial system next month, in a move that could cause chaos in the occupied West Bank.

Meanwhile, medics announced that Israeli forces killed at least 14 Palestinians in tank and aircraft shelling of areas in the north and center of the Gaza Strip today, Friday, while tanks advanced further northwest of Rafah near the border with Egypt.

Israeli tank shelling killed eight people and wounded others in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, health officials in Gaza said, while six others were killed in an air strike on a house in Gaza City.

In the northern town of Beit Hanoun, medics said an Israeli strike on a car killed and wounded a number of Palestinians.
