ADIPEC 2024 was the most successful edition in the 40-year history of the prestigious event, resulting in deals worth more than $10 billion across various sectors.

In response to the call made by Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Managing Director and CEO of ADNOC and its group of companies, during his opening speech at ADIPEC 2024, participants in the event called on the relevant sectors to provide the qualitative capabilities necessary to benefit from the opportunities presented by the three main global trends represented in: The rise of the Global South and emerging markets, the growth of artificial intelligence, and the changes and paradigm shift in the energy sector.

For the first time, ADIPEC witnessed the allocation of an area for artificial intelligence, organized by ADNOC, to focus on the close interrelation between the energy sectors and artificial intelligence and the importance of cooperation between the relevant sectors to meet the rapid growth in energy demand by artificial intelligence, in conjunction with the use of its tools and solutions to raise energy efficiency and reduce emissions.

Cooperation between countries and sectors was the common factor across the exhibition halls, where more than 2,200 exhibitors and 30 national pavilions gathered to develop new partnerships and strategies to drive sustainable social and economic growth. Innovation emerged as a primary theme of the event with the participation of 133 exhibitors who focused on artificial intelligence, digitization and automation solutions to support a transformational shift. Black & Veatch and Baker Hughes also unveiled plans for a mid-sized LNG solution capable of producing up to 2 million tons per year, while Japan Oil, Gas & Minerals Corporation and the International Energy Forum signed a memorandum of understanding to promote research into carbon capture and clean hydrogen.
