His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with His Excellency Ruben Ramirez Lezcano, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Paraguay, as part of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Gustavo Velati, Minister of Information and Communications Technology of Paraguay, and His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed Abu Shehab, Permanent Representative of the UAE to the United Nations.
During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest and files on the association’s agenda were discussed, in addition to ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in several fields, including economic, investment, and renewable energy. The talks also touched on joint cooperation within the framework of international organizations.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed the UAE’s keenness to strengthen cooperation relations with the friendly Republic of Paraguay, and to build a distinguished partnership between the two countries that supports their mutual interests and development goals.
