A main route that leads into a town centre has been shut due to a crash.
The A26 Tonbridge Road in Maidstone is blocked in both directions as a result of the accident.
It is understood the collision happened at around 5.45pm.
According to traffic monitoring tool Inrix, there are slow queues from St George’s Square to Bower Street.
Drivers are being diverted via the London Road and Queens Road.
Bus company Arriva posted a warning to passengers on X this evening.
It said: “Due to an RTC on Tonbridge Road the police have closed the road so routes 3,6,7 are being diverted via London Road and Queen Street in both directions.”
