Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 56-year-old woman in a road traffic accident on Monday morning.
The woman was driving a car on the motorway between Nicosia and Limassol near Alambra when her car collided with that of a 34-year-old man.
She was extricated from her vehicle by the fire brigade, before being taken to the Nicosia general hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The 34-year-old man was also taken to the Nicosia general hospital, where he received first aid and was discharged.
