On Wednesday, September 26, alleged President of the United States Joe Biden appeared on “The View,” a daytime TV talk show hosted by world-class intellects Whoopie Goldberg and Joy Behar, among others.
Things went about as well as could be expected, given the paucity of unbiased, mentally fit, emotionally stable participants.
(Full disclosure: my tolerance quotient for moronic harpies is extraordinarily low, so, rather than watch the entire debacle, I viewed relevant video clips online.)
During the show, Biden spoke “glowingly” about Vice President Kamala Harris, and, in the process, hung a metaphorical millstone around the metaphorical neck of her metaphorical campaign.
Biden clearly stated that Harris shared his policies: “As Vice President, there wasn’t a single thing that I did that she couldn’t do and so I was able to delegate her responsibility on everything from foreign policy to domestic policy.”
Biden’s comments echoed those made in August by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre who told reporters that Harris helped create “Bidenomics.” Jean-Pierre said, “Bidenomics has been something that both the president and the vice president have worked on.”
Harris and media propagandists have been working diligently to distance her from the horrific Biden/Harris years. They are busily – desperately – urging voters to “reject the politics of the past,” and embrace a “new way forward.” In effect, the Harris campaign and media are attempting to whitewash Kamala as a four-year bystander who really wasn’t in a position to affect policy.
In fact, Harris is trying to redefine herself as a “new” kind of Democrat.
That will be impossible now that Joe Biden has gone on record saying he delegated “everything from foreign policy to domestic policy” to Harris. Every failure of the past four years is as much Kamala’s responsibility as Joe’s.
In other words, “new” Democrat, same as the “old” Democrat.
What does that mean for Kamala’s campaign?
Harris cannot avoid electoral fallout from the administration’s myriad policy blunders when, according to Joe Biden and the White House press office, Harris is at least equally responsible for Bidenomics’ brutal inflation and exorbitant interest rates, and for the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. And, as border czar, Kamala bears even greater responsibility for the invasion of illegal aliens across America’s open borders, along with the resulting humanitarian, public health and housing crises, criminal activity, and drug and human trafficking.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has revealed that the Biden/Harris administration has waved in more than 600,000 criminal offenders – not counting getaways – including thousands of murderers and sex offenders.
Biden/Harris lifted sanctions on Iran, the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism, freed $billions of frozen Iranian assets, and made the Middle East and the world far more dangerous. Iran-funded clients, Hezbollah and Hamas, are attacking Israel.
Furthermore, the problem of whitewashing Kamala is compounded by the baggage she carries from her time in California offices, the U.S. Senate, and as a heavily-covered, but short-lived 2020 presidential candidate.
Harris’s campaign ads misrepresent her record as a California prosecutor. A former Department of Justice official has said that he cannot find evidence that Kamala ever personally led a single prosecution at the local or state level.
And 2010 records show that, under Attorney General Harris, California’s actual felony trial convictions declined significantly. Her department’s overall conviction rate was based almost entirely on plea deals.
Harris is a prototypical California hyper-liberal who has expressed her support for slavery reparations, for bailing out violent, destructive BLM rioters, defunding the police, and for taxpayer-funded transgender surgery for prisoners, including detained illegal immigrants.
Harris has said she would decriminalize illegal immigration (“an undocumented immigrant is not a criminal.”), and abolish ICE.
She has said she would ban fracking, offshore drilling and gasoline-powered automobiles, enforce a mandatory buyback program for “assault weapons,” and abolish private health insurance.
It will take a lot of whitewash to cover it all up, especially since there is little evidence that Harris has personally disavowed any of it.
Anonymous campaign staffers typically leak “clarifications and updates” to friendly media, but Harris has – on video – repeatedly expressed those policies. She opened our borders and actively encouraged bailing out rioters and California taxpayer-funded trans surgeries.
Meanwhile, rather than the detailed policy statements voters deserve, Harris issues vacuous, incoherent platitudes like, “Let that then inspire us by helping us to be inspired.”
Totally presidential, huh?
