In Hezbollah’s first comment since the killing of its Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Naeem Qassem, announced on Monday that his party would choose a secretary-general for the party as soon as possible after the assassination of its leader in an Israeli raid on Friday, noting that Nasrallah was killed with four others, including a deputy operations commander. In a recorded speech broadcast on Al-Manar TV, Qassem stressed that Hezbollah will continue to confront Israel in support of Gaza and Palestine… and in response to the assassinations and killing of civilians, stressing: “We will face any possibility and are prepared if Israel decides to enter by ground.”
