Humane Pennsylvania is celebrating National Adopt a Senior Pet Month by waiving all fees for senior pets — those over the age of 8 — for the month of November at its Reading and Lancaster pet adoption centers.
All pets will come with a comprehensive care package: a 30-day adoption health supplement ($60 off a first visit bill at Humane Veterinary Hospitals and discounted treatment for certain illnesses); spaying or neutering before adoption; vaccinations; deworming; flea treatment; microchip insertion and registration; and 1 pound of Science Diet pet food.
See pets available for adoption online at HumanePA.org or visit in person.
The Freedom Center for Animal Life-Saving, 1801 N. 11th St., Reading, and Lancaster Center for Cats & Critters, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, are open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adoptions can be completed between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
All adopters are required to go through the shelter’s adoption screening process and approval is not guaranteed.
