Reuters quoted a security source as saying: Israeli raid It hit an industrial area 500 meters from Beirut airport, adding that it was the closest strike to the airport so far.
The source stated that the area that was bombed is dotted with car repair garages.
For its part, Israeli Army Radio said that the attack near Beirut airport targeted another Hezbollah figure.
The head of the Lebanese Middle East Airlines, Muhammad Al-Hout, stated that the airport is operating normally.
He told Reuters:Beirut Airport “It’s not a target and there are no weapons there.”
