Naomi Whitehead, who lives in a nursing home in West Salem, Greenville, became the oldest person after the death of Elizabeth Francis from the state. Texas On October 22nd.
Whitehead, who says she never smoked or drank alcohol, was born in September 1910 on a farm in Georgia She survived the death of her husband and their three children.
She attributed her long life to good genes and enjoying many activities such as cooking, baking, drawing and listening to music.
Whitehead told the New Castle News in September 2023 that she had not set a goal about how long she wanted to live, but noted, “I will live as long as the Lord allows me to.”
