Art therapy workshops at Leventis Gallery

Art therapy workshops at Leventis Gallery

The Self-care Lab returns to Nicosia’s AG Leventis Gallery to launch a new season of experiential workshops that blend art with mindfulness and taking care of our mind, body and soul. This October it makes its comeback with a renewed agenda taking place within the Paris Collection.

In the middle of the month, two art therapy workshops will take place with visual psychotherapists Eleni Petridou and Marina Ioannou. During these workshops, participants will have the opportunity to spend a special morning in the Impressionists Hall, focusing on specific exhibits of the Paris Collection. Then, with the help and encouragement of Eleni and Marina, the participants will create personal and emotional connections with the paintings, drawing inspiration from them. Afterwards, they will proceed to create their own works and express themselves.

Through the creative process, participants will be encouraged to relax, let go and reflect on the challenges of everyday life, discuss different ways of self-care, see what self-care is for them and why it is important. The Self-care Lab will become a space where they can care for and reconnect with themselves, socialise and connect with other participants.

Both sessions will happen on a Saturday, October 12 and 19, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, held in Greek. As the workshops are independent from one another and will include a slightly different context, participants can chose to take part in both and explore more facets of self-care and art.
