And I arrived The doll The 8.5-metre-tall “Lily” has been brought to Rochdale town centre, as part of a project to encourage children to talk about climate change.
The City Council welcomed the doll through a post on its official account X platformPointing out that she will be a special guest during the “Wild Wonders” environmental arts festival, which will be organized by the Council in the open air next month.
In its leaflet, the council invited local schoolchildren to come and meet it this week, in order to “know their opinion on the future of our environment.”
Meanwhile, local residents were noticeably less enthusiastic about the event, with most expressing their dissatisfaction with the council’s use of this terrifying doll in order to educate children about an important global issue, while others considered it a waste of public money.
The council defended the doll, noting that the cost of its construction was funded by the Arts Council England andLocal charity “Garfield Weston.”
He continued: “School groups visited the town square to talk to the child about his ideas about climate change, and his plans to care for nature and animals.”
