The Joint Consular Committee between the UAE and Egypt holds its fifth session

The United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt held the fifth session of the Joint Consular Committee in Cairo, which aims to advance and consolidate cooperation in all joint consular fields to care for and serve the citizens of the two countries.

On the UAE side, the meeting was chaired by His Excellency Faisal Issa Lutfi, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and on the Egyptian side, His Excellency Ambassador Ismail Khairat, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt for Consular Affairs and Egyptians Abroad.
His Excellency Faisal Issa Lutfi conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and his praise for the continuous positive developments between the two countries. He stressed the UAE’s keenness and interest in strengthening and developing relations between the two countries in a way that reflects the aspirations and directives of the wise leadership.

During the meeting, His Excellency praised the historical and fraternal relations between the UAE and the Arab Republic of Egypt, which stem from strong ties, mutual respect and common interest, which pushes them towards broader horizons at all levels. He also expressed the UAE’s appreciation for the efforts made by the Egyptian side to strengthen bilateral relations in all fields, especially consular relations between the two countries, which have witnessed remarkable progress in recent years.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of common consular issues between the two countries and reviewed the experiences and best practices applied by them and ways to benefit from them in developing joint consular work to raise the proactive consular response in a way that serves the citizens of the two countries.
His Excellency Faisal Issa Lotfi stressed that the United Arab Emirates and the Arab Republic of Egypt have succeeded in establishing an advanced and sustainable model for their fraternal and strategic relations, which have resulted in many qualitative achievements in several sectors, and that the achievements made within the framework of bilateral relations between the two countries constitute an incentive to move forward towards more successes in order to achieve the common development goals between the two friendly countries and their peoples and to reach mechanisms and solutions for a future rich in cooperation and partnerships in the consular field.

Representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security, the Ministry of Emiratisation and Human Resources, and the Education and Technology Mission in the Arab Republic of Egypt participated in the meeting, along with representatives from the competent authorities in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
