In continuation of the Emirate of Sharjah’s efforts to preserve the environment and promote sustainable and safe transportation in the emirate, the Council has approved a plan to provide electric vehicle charging stations in multiple strategic locations to cover commercial and urban areas, with high standards that provide fast and easy charging.

The Council reviewed the response of the Department of Islamic Affairs to the recommendations of the Sharjah Consultative Council regarding the discussion of the Department’s policy, which includes working to implement the recommendations and coordinating with the relevant authorities to achieve the public interest and serve citizens. The Council also discussed proposals to enhance the common identity and cooperation between the cooperative societies of fishermen in the emirate, which will reflect on enhancing their media presence and communication with the community.
