“From Inner Peace to World Peace” Conference in Dubai Recommends Finding a Common Platform to Establish Peace for the Prosperity of the World’s Peoples

Yesterday, the conference “From Inner Peace to World Peace” was held in the Emirates, the Land of Peace (#I_Am_Peace), which was organized by the organization (ISCTH) International in partnership with the Etisalat Academy in Dubai the day before yesterday, on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day of Peace, which falls on September 21 of each year. The conference brought together, in a unique gathering for global harmony and unity, a number of voices of thought leaders, diplomats and peace advocates from various sectors from inside and outside the country, to promote sustainable peace.

The conference recommended creating a common platform to consolidate peace, stability and prosperity for all peoples of the world, and the importance of constructive dialogue and innovative solutions to pave the way for lasting peace. The conference also recommended supporting peace dialogue initiatives around the world and benefiting from previous experiences and investing them in promoting world peace. It called for spreading the culture of mercy and cooperation for good, creating the conditions to allow peace to flourish, and the possibility of formulating permanent solutions to address the root causes of conflict.

The conference praised the prominent role of the United Arab Emirates in strengthening the pillars of international security and peace, through the UAE’s adoption of initiatives that encourage the promotion of the values ​​of tolerance and coexistence, pointing out that the UAE has become an example and role model in this regard, and an oasis of coexistence between different nationalities, as it hosts more than 200 nationalities on its land, making it one of the most diverse countries in the world, where people of different religions live and practice their beliefs and religious rituals side by side, and the Emirati society has always adopted the values ​​of tolerance, inclusiveness and equality.

The opening ceremony of the conference was attended by His Excellency Brigadier Nasser Khadem Al Kaabi, Director General of Happiness at the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Faisal Shaheen Al Hammadi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Creativity Society, Ms. Hajar Al Essa, Secretary General of the Emirates Creativity Society, and a number of guests and officials from various sectors in the country, headed by Dubai Police, Ras Al Khaimah Police, the Ministry of Culture, the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Dubai Branch, and a number of heads of communities residing in the country.

The program of the event included the participation of the Dubai Police Music Band with national and popular musical pieces based on drums and wind instruments, with harmonious rhythms that won the admiration of the audience, in addition to the modern luxury electric cars belonging to the Dubai Police Tourist Police Department, which won the admiration and appreciation of the conference participants, and the audience competed to take pictures next to them. The opening ceremony of the conference was also distinguished by musical pieces by the Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra, which the audience applauded enthusiastically, in addition to an exhibition of plastic arts that included paintings expressing in their content peace and its importance to societies, and how to work to achieve it. It also included a bazaar that included various products for productive families.

The event included a powerful keynote address by Mitter Barn, founding member of ISCTHa world-renowned author, speaker, and youth mentor, who inspired the audience with profound insights into achieving inner peace, emphasized during his speech: “Today, we gather to plant the seed of peace within ourselves, and nurture it so that we can collectively seek sustainable and comprehensive solutions for lasting global harmony. While it is important to explore practical solutions externally, true progress begins with each of us cultivating inner peace. Only from this foundation can we build a world that reflects our shared values ​​of tranquility and understanding.”

Other notable speakers included His Excellency Bishop Paolo Martinelli, Apostolic Vicar of Southern Arabia, who spoke about the power of tolerance and compassion in achieving peace.

In turn, His Excellency Satish Sivan, Consul General of India in Dubai, delivered a speech during the conference in which he stressed the importance of achieving peace in the current era.

For his part, Mr. Surinder Singh Kandhari, Chairman of Al Dobowi Group and Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Dubai, highlighted the importance of a culture of peace encompassing values, attitudes and behaviour.

The conference included a panel discussion with the participation of a group of prominent leaders and experts, including Mr. Khaled Al Awadhi, Deputy CEO and Director of Partnership and Membership at the Dubai Humanitarian Foundation, Mr. Mahesh Advani, prominent Indian businessman, philanthropist and motivational speaker, and Dr. Taghreed Zuhdi Mohammed, President and Founder of the Horizon International Peace Center in Dubai.

The discussions, moderated by Kaivalya Kashyap, President, ISCTHCritical issues about effective peacebuilding strategies in a diverse, globalized world.
