US President Joe Biden, upon receiving His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, at the White House on Monday, confirmed that he is “working to contain the escalation” in Lebanon, where the Israeli army has intensified its strikes.
Biden said that he will discuss with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan efforts to end the war in Gaza, and efforts to calm the situation in Lebanon.
He added: “We are working to contain the escalation in a way that enables people to return to their homes safely.”
