Paphos man arrested for theft of collectors’ bank notes, coins

Paphos police arrested a 38-year-old man for an investigated case of theft and illegal drugs.

According to the police, officers on crime patrol intercepted the man on foot around 7.30pm and found him in possession of cannabis, as well as various suspected stolen items, including an old-style Cypriot banknote, various English coins and banknotes, and other valuables for which he could not provide satisfactory explanation.

Police arrested the suspect who is to be charged before the Paphos District Court and released pending summons.
