Amer Sharaf, Executive Director of Cyber ​​Security Services Sector and Systems at the Dubai Electronic Security Center, confirmed that Dubai is one of the leading cities in the field of secure digital transformation, as it has worked in recent years to develop an advanced digital infrastructure that ensures the protection of information for individuals and various institutions, and improves and continuously updates smart services, while establishing cyber security centers and setting legislation and laws to protect data and confront electronic threats, which enhances the protection of national digital security.

On the sidelines of the Dubai Artificial Intelligence and Web 3 Festival, which kicked off in Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, he added that Dubai has adopted artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies to establish sustainable digital projects and analyze big data to meet future challenges in various vital sectors such as education, health, environment and climate, while Dubai has worked to strengthen its strategic partnerships with major global companies specializing in technology and artificial intelligence, which contributes to developing innovative solutions to meet contemporary digital challenges.

He said that Dubai has developed electronic security strategies and policies for society and institutions that are the first of their kind in the region to benefit from its services and to ensure their use in a reliable and safe manner, with a focus on protecting personal data, preventing the misuse of this technology, avoiding any potential security threats, and securing the ideas of entrepreneurs through an electronically immune system that keeps pace with the accelerating digital world.

For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Issa Ahmed Al Mutawa, CEO of Artificial Intelligence at the Dubai Civil Defense General Command, reviewed the latest programs for predicting fires using artificial intelligence and analyzing data for 5 years for the most dangerous areas and working to raise community awareness for their safety, improve rapid response and reduce risks. This program has successfully achieved “Dubai Civil Defense Readiness” under the directives of His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, by applying this program to all emirates of the country. The Civil Defense is also studying the innovation of a robot that is controlled remotely through specialized operations rooms through which it accurately determines the locations of fires and fights fires without human intervention. Cooperation will be conducted with major companies in San Francisco to explore the possibility of its application.

For his part, Saqr Areiqat, co-founder and managing partner of Ridemark, stated that Dubai’s official blockchain strategy has supported emerging projects specializing in artificial intelligence and blockchain, making Dubai the largest local environment hosting 2,000 companies in this field. He noted that Dubai has become a destination for investors, talents and expertise from around the world, as it has all the ingredients to make technological projects successful and support innovation and studies in this sector.
