A woman who died after an explosion at her bungalow “meant the absolute world to everyone who knew her”.
Charlane Burvill, a loving mum, wife, sister and nan, has been named locally as the victim of the devastating blast in Charing, near Ashford.
Her daughter shared the tragic news with villagers in a heartbreaking Facebook post, saying “this is the hardest thing I have ever had to write”.
Charlane had been airlifted to King’s College Hospital in London following the explosion at about 11.30am on Thursday.
She died from her injuries the next morning.
Her daughter wrote: “We’ve lost our mum, nan, sister and wife this morning at 10.46am. I don’t know how to put this into words anymore.”
She added of her mum: “Even though you are no longer here with me, I can still feel your love guiding me. You are always in my heart.”
In a separate post, Charlanes’s grandson described her as someone “who meant the absolute world to everyone who knew her”.
“I love you so much and it’s so tragic to hear what happened. It doesn’t feel real,” he added.
The tragedy has left the community reeling, with many residents also paying tribute to Charlane.
Suzanne Black commented: “I’m so sorry for your loss.
“Your mum was a lovely lady and will be missed. Your family are in my thoughts.”

“Your mum was amazing, we spent loads of chats and laughter over coffee,” added Marie Godden.
“She will definitely be missed and I’m thinking of you all.”
Lena-Marie Cooper said: “I’ve got some fond memories of my time spent with Char up her house whilst the kids played.
“Will miss seeing her at the local shop most days. Sending so much love to you all.”
Villagers have offered support to the family following the tragedy.
Gem Burgess said: “As a community, I know we will be there to help if and when you need it.”
“Be assured the community is thinking of you all and will be there to help you through,” added Ada Leece.
Fire crews are yet to establish the cause of the explosion, which has destroyed the bungalow in Canterbury Road.
There is also yet to be an update on the condition of the family dog, who was taken into the care of a vet after walking out of the rubble.
